The Amersham Biosciences AKTA Prime FPLC offers a lab scale, one step, flexible solution for liquid chromatography and protein purification needs. It’s well suited to general purification tasks like gel filtration of recombinant DNA, ion exchange, buffer exchange and hydrophobic interaction chromatography, as well as affinity chromatography. With high reproducibility and accuracy, this compact FPLC includes a UV and conductivity monitors, and fraction collector and valves for buffer selection, flow diversion, and sample injection, as well as gradient formation.  The Amersham Biosciences AKTA Prime FPLC comes pre-programmed with common use methods like sample cleanup, tagged protein affinity purification and MAbs, in simple to use formats. Programs are accessible through a front panel LCD display.  


The Amersham Biosciences AKTA Prime FPLC pump produces flow rates of up to 50 ml per minute with pressures up to 1MPa. Optimal results are achieved by using easy to attach pre-packed columns such as HiLoad, HiPrep or HiTrap.
