A group of scientists from UCLA and Harvard University, have established a technique to measure physical properties of individual cells in body fluids. The technique has the ability to diagnose cancer with precision. The method, which uses a deformability cytometer to analyze individual cells, could decrease the need for more cumbersome assays and reduce costs, while improving accuracy over current tests.
