The BioTek Synergy 2 is a high-performance multi-mode plate reader built for drug discovery (R&D) and the biotech life science research arena. This single-channel microplate reader uses a combination of monochromator, filters and dichroic mirrors for the superior performance in research and screening assays. Detection modes included with this Synergy 2 plate reader is an SLFPTA model that includes are Fluorescence Intensity, Top and Bottom, Polarization, and Time-Resolved Fluorescence, Luminescence, and UV-Vis Absorbance.
The BioTek Synergy 2 Multi-Mode Microplate Reader uses a long-life tungsten halogen lamp for determining Fluorescence detections, with both top and bottom reading capability. The luminescence of this Biotek plate reader is measured with a low noise PMT, and absorbance measuring is made with a xenon flash lamp that allows for both UV and Visible light. In addition, this Biotek microplate reader has 4 zone temperature control, with a range of between 4-50°C, as well as three speeds of shaking.
The BioTek Synergy 2 Plate Reader is controlled by a computer using BioTek’s Gen 5 Software which is compatible with AlphaScreen assays and certified for HTRF, DLR, and LantaScreen. The Synergy 2 is robot accessible and compatible with BioTek’s BioStack Microplate Stacker. Gen5 supports OLE automation to facilitate the Synergy 2’s integration into an automated system.
