The GE Ultrospec 9000 is a spectrophotometer using dual-beam UV visible bandwidth optics. Useful in high specification laboratories, this instrument features a color touch screen for ease of use, and exportable data and method storage either through a USB memory stick or a PC USB connection. The GE Ultrospec 9000 spectrophotometer can be used as a stand-alone machine or can be controlled through a PC. Secure login is available to protect methods of multiple users. Spectrophotometry is processed with software for wavelength scanning, kinetics, standard curves, fixed wavelengths, and pre-started life science methods, with equation editor software for custom calculations that are to be applied to the measured data. Variable bandwidth capability and the custom calculations on this uv-vis spectrophotometer facilitate method development using the Datrys software. The GE Ultrospec 9000 spectrophotometer is also fully European Pharmacopoeia compatible with 1 nm bandwidth.
