The Nanodrop 2000 from  Thermo Scientific is a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer provides a reliable and accurate small volume solution for sample analysis. The Thermo Scientific Nanodrop 2000 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer provides a reliable and accurate small volume solution for sample analysis and preparation. This microvolume UV-vis spectrophotometer is simple to use, and easy to set up. Simply add between 0.5 µL – 2.0 µL of sample to the pedestal and 2000 will measure in less than 5 seconds. Samples do not require dilution, even when highly concentrated, and can handle up to 15,000 ng/ µL. The compact and sleek design of this spectrophotometer takes up very little bench space, making it easy to keep nearby.


The Thermo Nanodrop 2000 comes with user-friendly software with contained features, and thanks to its broad absorbance range you can use either high or low concentrated samples. The small but robust spectrophotometer has an absorbance range of 0.008 to 1.5.  This UV/Vis Micro-Volume Spectrophotometer also features heating at 37°C, ±0.5°C and stirring speeds from 50 to 850rpm. The Thermo Scientific Nanodrop 2000 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer has gold nanoparticles (520nm) and Colorimetric protein assays (BCA 562nm, Bradford 595nm, Modified Lowry 650nm, and Pierce 660 660nm). The Nanodrop 2000 also has the full spectral output and preconfigured methods for A260, A280, labeled DNA or Proteins, and even more. The instrument features toxicology assays and industrial dyes (490nm).
