Labconco Biosafety Cabinet 6′ – Class II A2
The Labconco Biosafety Cabinet is a Purifier Delta Series Class II A2 Cabinet that offers you a comprehensive personal workspace for protection from Biosafety Level 1,2 or 3 containment and antineoplastic drug preparation. The system utilizes a 99.99% effective HEPA filtration laminar airflow to recycle 70% of air back into the work area and 30% into the room. Alternatively, a canopy can be attached for applications involving a trace amount of radionuclides or minute quantities of volatile toxic chemicals. The Airwave entry system minimizes turbulence and smooth airflow, while the angled sash and front panel allow for comfortable viewing without glare.
The Labconco Purifier Delta Series is built with safety in mind and features a curved airfoil designed to prevent items from being placed there accidentally with a negative pressure plenum design. The frame of this Labconco BSC is also more stable than most, thanks to its unified body construction, far more stable than multipiece designs, and helps reduce the risk of bumping and unsettling samples. The sash uses tactile feedback and an audio and visual alarm to alert the user when it’s open beyond the working height. The sash also closes completely to prevent contaminants from leaving or entering the biosafety cabinet while disinfecting with the UV lamp.
The spacious, seamless interior is easy to clean and features two outlets on either side and one service fixture. Easy-to-reach and see monitors and controls make the unit ergonomic and comfortable to be seated at during long periods of use. This safety hood also features a pressure gauge positioned on the back wall, right at eye level for glance monitoring. Switches and alarms of this Labconco BSC are low, reducing eye strain and meeting ADA requirements.

Please Note: This listing is for a Labconco Biosafety Cabinet that’s been fully tested by our service team with a clean bill of health. The unit has been deconned with a Hydrogen Peroxide method and the existing supply HEPA filter has been checked out to be in good condition. We ran a flow meter on the hood to ensure the blower motor is up to spec and the unit passed QC. If buyers want new HEPA filters, they’re available for an additional cost. If your hood validation service provider requires new filters in order to pass their certification, it’s the buyer’s responsibility to purchase them.
