Labnet Spectrafuge 24D Microcentrifuge

The Labnet spectrafuge 24d centrifuge is a small benchtop microcentrifuge which combines several innovations. A powerful brushless motor allows the easy access 24-place aluminum rotor to quickly speed up the spectrafuge to the set point. 1.5/2.0ml samples can be manually put into the rotor from the top of the centrifuge. An optional StripSpin adapter expands the Labnet centrifuge capabilities to accept 0.2ml tubes and strips.

The Labnet spectrafuge 24d keeps its samples close to ambient temperature by means of a vent along the back. The air enters the chamber and circulates along both the top and bottom of the rotor. For samples that require temperature below room temperature you may use this centrifuge in a cold room however check the ambient specifications allowed before using.

Speed and time are adjusted by two analog knobs on the Labnet centrifuge’s control panel. A microprocessor regulates all aspects of the operation.  A green LED displays large easy to read numbers. The spectrafuge’s speed can be set in either rpm or RCF force and the timer can be selected for as little as 30 seconds, up to 30 minutes or hold for continuous run. An imbalance sensor is constantly monitoring the operation and if at any moment it detects an imbalance, the centrifuge quickly but smoothly decelerates, and the lid unlocks.
