The Hamilton Microlab STARlet is a robotic liquid handler with superior liquid level detection, a full range of volumes and flexible configurations to fit your lab's needs. The Starlet is built for and preprogrammed for automated applications, such as NGS, ELISA, and forensic assays. This compact benchtop pipetting robot can be configured between 2-16 channels and has a deck capacity of 30 tracks that can accommodate most All SLAS ANSI standard plate types up to 1536 wells, and most commercially available tube types. The dynamic pipette action of this automatic liquid dispenser covers a range of 0.5 μL to 1000 μL.
The STARlet liquid handler uses a special air displacement pipetting system, similar to a hand pipette, and compressed o-ring expansion. These systems minimize the production of aerosols, and to allow multiple tips and needle types to be used in the same run. This technology also has a lock and key style mechanism with no vertical force that eliminates mechanical stress and improves performance, speed, and accuracy and ensures long life. Various actions are automatically monitored throughout the process in this Hamilton Liquid Handler such as total aspiration and dispensing, the monitoring of air displacement and the anti-droplet control.
The Hamilton Microlab STARlet robot liquid handler has a multifunction arm that covers a wide range of volumes, swappable between individual channels and the 96- channel or 284-channel multi-probe heads, while also being able to accommodate a camera, tube transport, and other channel tools. The deck can also be configured with other optional solutions available directly from Hamilton. Options such as the iSWAP plate manipulator, a barcode scanner, and core grippers, sold separately.
