The Agilent Cary 60 is a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer that is compact and flexible, with a low cost of ownership. By using a unique source lamp with an extra-long lifespan of 3 billion flashes, users reduce the time-consuming and expensive lamp replacements. The lamp only flashes when a reading is taken, this means zero downtime waiting for a warmup, and low energy consumption. The low power requirements of this spectrophotometer mean that at just 38 W, the Agilent Cary 60 can be run from a 12 V mains voltage inverter, giving you a portable option of fieldwork.

This spectrophotometer also uses a highly focused fiber optic probe that gives you faster, easier to measure results, and eliminates the need for cuvettes and sample measurement error. You can also preserve your samples by using less than 4 µL, and at a scan rate of up to 24,000 nm/min, you can scan the entire wavelength range (190-1100 nm) in under 3 seconds. The Agilent Cary 60 UV-VIS Spectrophotometer is room light immune, so you can take measurements with the sample compartment open, including large or odd-shaped vessels. Photodegradation is eliminated as samples are not exposed to UV light or heat. Because the light beam is intense and highly focused, the noise performance is excellent even in small aperture microcells.

The Agilent Cary 60 Spectrophotometer comes with a C Technologies Solo VPE Variable Pathlength Extension for the added power of slope spectroscopy.  This system creates rapid and robust concentration measurement methods, with variable path length technology. The data-dense slope-based technique characterizes samples using multiple absorbance data points acquired at different path lengths for greater insight into the sample.
