The Amersham Imager 600 provides a robust imaging system to capture and analyze protein and DNA sample gels and membranes in high resolution. The multi-functional imager operates in chemiluminescence, fluorescence and colorimetric applications, and analyzes the images with onboard software quickly and easily. Since this imaging system is fully automated, there’s no need to focus, change filters, calibrate or make other adjustments after start up, you’re ready to roll.

This Amersham Imager 600 RGB is simple to operate, using either a controlling PC or a tablet and the intuitive image analysis software. Users can onboard quickly and capture images with the auto capture function, so no prior imaging experience is required. Users have the option to set manually, with little fuss. Images are captured using an optimized, super honeycomb CCD camera and a large aperture FUJINON lens for a highly sensitive, broad dynamic range and minimal cross talk. The camera is a multipurpose 16-bit, 3.2 megapixel, that’s Peltier cooled to produce noise levels and shorten startup time to have you up in running in under 5 minutes

The Amersham Imager 600 is comprised of a dark sample cabinet, camera system, filter wheel, and light sources with USB ports and network connections to a controlling operating system. The integrated software on this western blot imager automatically controls focus, filter, illuminator, and exposure type. Users can choose between two sample tray heights, for image acquisition areas of 220 × 160 mm and 110 × 80 mm. Images can be stored in the system, on a USB stick, or external hard drive.

The Amersham Imager 600 configuration is set up for white light (epi), Chemiluminescence, UV fluorescence compatible, RGB Fluorescence, and white light (trans) calibrated OD measurements. Results are presented in both tabular and graphical formats, with the ability to combine white imaging with the chemiluminescence and fluorescence imaging to generate overlay for quick molecular weight estimations.
