The Baker SterilGARD III SG403 laminar flow hood is a class II, type A biosafety cabinet. This biosafety cabinet is designed for comfortable use, without putting strain on the body. Like most open front cabinets, this fume hood is for use with low to moderate-risk agents, making it an ideal choice for I.V. drug preparation, pharmaceuticals, clinical diagnostic work, tissue culturing, and techniques requiring a contamination-free atmosphere. The Baker SterilGARD III SG403 Biosafety Cabinet features a 10° angled view screen built to reduce glare and allow space to reach items easily. The SterilGARD III SG403 incorporates a HEPA exhaust filter, for 100% total exhaust without requiring ductwork, combined with positive and negative pressure plenum to provide extra protection from only particulates.

This Type A2 Cabinet can be connected to treated facility ductwork for complete protection for personnel and environment protection from particulates, gases, and vapors, or used as a ductless solution. The easy access work area inside this biosafety hood is a generous 4 feet with a sliding viewscreen, two duplex outlets, and a variety of petcocks for gas hookups.

The Baker SterilGARD III SG403 Biosafety Cabinet features a momentum air curtain that creates a faster airflow behind the sash and over the work area for an effective barrier. This safety cabinet also has high-velocity return air slots to help reduce turbulence and the chances for contaminants to escape, ensuring no unfiltered air enters the work area, preventing gasses, vapors, and particulates from escaping into the laboratory. This biological safety cabinet is built to be easy to maintain, with easy access filters, washable reusable prefilters, all-metal plenums, and a cleanable drain pan. The blower, outlets as well as the Fluorescent lamp for this fume hood can be operated from the upfront membrane keypad with indicator lights and a mutable alarm should the viewscreen be open too wide.
