Beckman Allegra 6KR is a refrigerated floor model Centrifuge capable of routine separations, processing a large number of smaller samples, binding studies, processing of temperature-sensitive samples, and more. The Kneewell design of this refrigerated centrifuge frees up bench space and allows for comfortable access.

Users of the Allegra 6KR can swap out rotors and accessories to best suit their needs. The lid can be locked after loading, simply by flipping the lever set just under the front. Included in the controls is a second lid setting, a toggle switch that releases the latch mechanism and allows the door to be opened after the rotor has come to a complete stop, and the manual lock is opened.

Beckman Coulter Allegra 6KR Centrifuge parameters are set from the upfront control panel and the centrifuge has a total spin speed setting of 8000 rpm dialed in 200 RPM increments. Maximum speeds will be dependent on the rotor being used. Temperatures, speed, and time can be set with the knob controls, with speed shown on the digital display and a current temperature readout on the gauge to the left. The temperature range is between -10 to 40°C, and the timer function can be set up to 30 minutes or held for a continuous run. Once the timer has elapsed the breaking profile will engage and the run will complete. The toggle switches let users select a high or low breaking speed, or set it to none for a coast to stop option.
