The Beckman Optima TLX is a high-performance benchtop ultracentrifuge that conveniently fits on any lab bench. It features a built-in rotor imbalance detection when a load is not balanced safely for a run. Another great feature is the built-in moisture-purging vacuum pump. This system purges moisture while in motion and seals the chamber so the door can’t be opened for added safety.

The Beckman Ultracentrifuge has a solid-state temperature control system with a set point temperature range of 2° to 40°C. The motor on the Beckman TLX is an air-cooled, direct-drive, maintenance-free system with a decibel level of less than 60 dBA. The instrument tops out at speeds of 120,000 RPM and a g-force of 657,000 x g.

The Beckman Coulter Optima TLX has ten preset programs for acceleration and deceleration rates with a dynamic braking system or coasting to a stop. User can easily program their own runs with the microprocessor controls and save them within the Ultracentrifuge’s onboard memory bank. Choose from various ultracentrifuge rotors, reducing the time required to transport sensitive samples.

The Ultracentrifuge runs on standard 115-120V power but should be plugged into its own dedicated outlet, as it draws over 12 Amps. If you have temperature-sensitive samples you need to run at top speeds, the Beckman Optima TLX Ultracentrifuge is the centrifuge for you.
