The drive of this ultracentrifuge is also imbalance tolerant, and can safely accommodate tubes that are under or over filled by as much as 10%. The Beckman Coulter Optima L-100 XP Ultracentrifuge has 10 acceleration and 11 deceleration profiles, that include 9 slow rates as well as coasting to a stop without brake, or full dynamic braking from set speed. This floor model centrifuge has quiet operation at <53 dBa, so you can have it in the lab nearby without being too distracting.
