The Thermo 1300 Series A2 Biosafety Cabinet offers top-notch safety and protection in an instrument that’s cost-effective and energy-efficient. This dependable BSC saves you money in air conditioning costs by expelling less heat than other hoods and consuming less power. At night, when the unit is done for the day and the sash is closed, the hood reduces the blower speed by 30%, maintaining a sterile workspace for use the next day. This employs a brushless AC motor that’s long-lasting and more energy-efficient than other motors. When it comes time for decontamination, a programmable UV lamp can be run for up to 24 hours at the push of a button. HEPA filters with 99.995% MPPS protect the rest of your lab from harm.
The Thermo Scientific 1300 Series A2 Biosafety Cabinet features quiet operation and ergonomic design, with special armrests to reduce user fatigue while protecting the air grill from blockage. The single-piece work area is set at a comfortable 10° angle, with a roomy interior for unobstructed navigation and a smooth surface for easy cleanup. Users are alerted to changes through audible and visual alarms, including the smart flow indicator that signals how much power and capacity is needed to maintain safe use. The control panel is conveniently placed, allowing users to monitor performance at a glance and make adjustments when needed.

Please Note: This listing is for a Thermo Fisher Biosafety Cabinet that’s been fully tested by our service team with a clean bill of health. The unit has been deconned with a Hydrogen Peroxide method and the existing supply HEPA filter has been checked out to be in good condition. We ran a flow meter on the hood to ensure the blower motor is up to spec and the unit passed QC. If buyers want new HEPA filters, they’re available for an additional cost. If your hood validation service provider requires new filters in order to pass their certification, it’s the buyer’s responsibility to purchase them. We are not responsible for your hood certification, this is the buyer’s responsibility.
