BioTek ELX405 Select CW

The BioTek Elx405 Select CW is a robust microplate washer built by one of the industry’s leaders in microplate technology.  The ELX405 Select CW aspirates and dispenses into 96- and 384-well standard height and low-profile microplates and is a total solution for all a laboratory’s solid bottom microplate washing needs. The onboard software also allows users to control their desired shaking and soaking times, and construct their protocols to save time on often repeated applications.

The system is capable of cell washing and ideally suited for plate preparation for assays such as ELISA. The new ELx405 Select CW from BioTek is a robot-compatible, full-plate washer incorporating BioTek’s patented Dual-Action manifold with independent filling and evacuation control for precise overfill washing and overflow protection. There is also built-in priming that allows the ELx405U Select Microplate Washer to avoid having to use blank plates during the process and avoids wasting consumables. This system is an ELX405UCWS model which includes: Cell washing that operates at super low flow rates for non-disruptive cell washing, and a built-in Ultrasonic Cleaning that helps keep the instrument clear and free of clogs.

Technical Notes

This Biotek plate washer has been fully inspected and is operating without issue. Please Note: Plate Washer has the following options installed; Cell Washing (CW), 96/384 Capability (U), Ultrasonic Cleaner for manifold self-cleaning (S) and buffer switching module compatible (V). We performed dispensing aspiration, and leak tests on all channels within the manifold as part of our inbound QC.  The system is ready to ship.
