BioTek Epoch 2 Microplate Reader
The Biotek Epoch 2 is a compact microplate reader with reliable absorbance reading. This microplate reader takes measurements in 6-384 well plates, with a broad range of 200 nm to 999 nm wavelength, making it ideal for applications ranging from nucleic acid and protein quantifications to microbial growth. This Biotek spectrophotometer also features endpoint, kinetic, spectral scanning, well area scanning modes, and incubation and shaking. Temperature-sensitive and cell-based assays can be controlled with Epoch2’s 4-zone incubation up to 60°C.
This Epoch 2 microplate spectrophotometer can be controlled through a PC loaded with Gen 6 software for robust data analysis. You can select from predefined protocols or create custom programs through the program. The Epoch Gen6 software has pre-programmed protocols and auto-corrects path length for an easy run from reading to output. The instrument is also useful for qualitative and quantitative colorimetric assays. Epoch 2 is also a Biostak robot that is compatible with walk-away capabilities.
