Description
Eppendorf Biophotometer Spectrophotometer
The Eppendorf Biophotometer 6131 Spectrophotometer is a compact, easy-to-transport cuvette photometer that’s fast, reliable, and simple to use. This single-beam photometer is ideal for routine work in molecular biology, biochemistry, or cell biology. The Biophotometer uses 6 wavelengths and 12 preprogrammed methods and is optimized for small sample volumes so you keep more of your precious samples. Methods for this Eppendorf photometer include nucleic acid calculations for double and single-strand DNA, Oligo, proteins methods including Bradford and Lowry, as well as bacteria density.
Users of this Eppendorf Biophotometer can use standard rectangular glass or plastic cuvette such as the disposable UVette. When not in use a cover protects the shaft from dust and other contaminants.
Measurements are performed with the push of a button, with fixed keys for quick access to groups of programs. The BioPhotometer plus converts the measured absorbance values into concentration results, and displays it on screen or exported via a printer (sold separately). Data can be transferred to a PC along with all the calibration data for printing, or further processing and archiving.
