The Millipore Guava EasyCyte HT is an intricate Flow Cytometer that delivers accurate analysis while taking up minimal lab bench space.  The Guava EasyCyte comes from a long linage of reliable flow cytometers designed to generate less waste allowing for easy cleanup and maintenance. The system is comprised of a blue (488mW) excitation laser and three-color detection, green, yellow and red, as well as forward and side surface scattering used for complexity determination and cell size. The robotic sample tray provides walk-away automation for a 96 well plate and up to 10 sample tubes.

The Millipore Guava EasyCyte 5HT uses patented microcapillary technology which excludes the need for sheath fluid to allow for exact cell counts including viability. The flexible design of this Guava Flow Cytometer also allows for single sample processing cutting costs and protecting against sample waste.  The EasyCyte HT from Millipore is driven by its comprehensive Incyte software allowing the user to optimize data analysis and the ability to revise or create custom assays.

This laser-based Flow Cytometer uses principle Cytometry assays and is capable of detecting microbial and mammalian cells.  Sample cells that are fluorescently tagged get aspirated into the micro-capillary flow cell which then excites the cells from the blue diode laser.  Each cell will emit a signal which is detected by photomultipliers and a photodiode.
