This microprocessor-controlled benchtop centrifuge has a user-friendly interface that allows users to set and store three frequently used protocols in quick-access buttons in the upfront digital control panel, and access 96 additional program folders with alphanumeric naming. Users can also select continuous use or timed sessions from 1 minute up to 99 hours and 59 minutes from this panel, as well as their desired temperature within a range of -10°C to 40°C, creating ideal conditions for sensitive samples.

The Thermo Megafuge 8R has several safety features, such as auto-lock rotor exchange to ensure proper placement, the SMARTspin imbalance system to warn if loads are uneven, and compatibility with ClickSeal biocontainment lids. With a variety of compatible rotors, this small benchtop centrifuge can be a great solution for clinical and research applications while taking a minimal amount of bench space.
