The E-Gel Power Snap Electrophoresis System from Invitrogen is a speedy electrophoresis imaging system that can produce results in as little as 15 minutes. You can even watch in real-time. The system uses E-Gel Invitrogen precast agarose gels that minimize handling hazardous chemicals, with corresponding pre-programmed protocols, drastically cutting run time. This electrophoresis system uses a blue light transilluminator at 465 nm and an amber filter that is safer for the user and gives better results when cloning vs. ethidium bromide/UV.

Navigation is simple, thanks to the full-color touchscreen on both the base and the camera module (see model). Onboard software for the Power Snap Camera allows you to capture and process images on the spot. Images captured by the E-Gel Power Snap can be stored directly on the device or transferred to a USB key.
