Description

Leica CM1510 Cryostat

The Leica CM1510 is an open-top cryostat with rapid built-in specimen freezing and manual sectioning. It is ergonomically designed for seated use, featuring a knee well and a lockable, counterbalanced handwheel positioned for smooth operation during manual sectioning. The section thickness range is 1 to 50 µm, with a specimen feed of 25mm and a vertical stroke of 59 mm.

The corrosion-proof cryochamber of this Cryostat can be set between 0 °C and -30°C and features a quick-freeze shelf with up to 10 spaces for specimens, capable of reaching a maximum temperature of -44°C. The Stainless-steel rotary microtome has an 8° X/Y/Z specimen orientation and is virtually maintenance-free. To keep the Cryostat frost-free, users can implement an 8-minute defrost cycle, either manually or set up a scheduled program for maintenance.
