Lonza 4D Nucleofector Electroporation
The Lonza 4D Nucleofector Electroporation is a modular transfection system. Nucleofection helps overcome almost all transfection challenges through tailored kits and optimizing electrical parameters. This 4d nucleofector is comprised of a Core unit with touch screen operation, an x unit that holds 2 100ul nucleocuvette vessels, and an LV Unit designed to expand the system to large-scale transfection. The LV unit is closed and scalable, working with larger cell numbers from 1×107 to 1×109 cells.
The 4d nucleofector comes loaded with cell-type-specific optimized protocols and access to more than 680 entries in the online Cell Transfection. Nucleofection also allows for the transfection of adherent cells and cells in suspension. The Lonza 4d nucleofector is also a very flexible system that can apply the same parameters to almost any substrate, making it ideal for over-expression studies, the generation of stable clones, and more.
The Lonza 4D Nucleofector Electroporation is operated through a user-friendly touch screen or controlled through a PC with software. The flexibility of this system allows users to work with neural cells in adherence at a later developmental stage, non-viral transfection of primary neural cells with up to 70% efficiency, and it preserves functionality. Users can also work with primary and cell lines related to metabolic diseases with up to 90% efficiency while maintaining viability.
