The Thermo Shandon Finesse ME Microtome offers users optimal control over cutting action that’s comfortable to use and precise in results. It’s easy to change speed and retraction options on this digitally controlled microtome through the upfront control panel. This rotary microtome is designed with ergonomics in mind for comfortable prolonged use. The Finesse ME microtome also features a balanced flywheel for manual cutting, precision response, along with auto-load to automatically reset the specimen head after changing blocks.  These simple controls make the Shandon Finesse ME extremely easy to use.

This microtome has a cutting stroke of 65mm, and a section thickness range of between 0.5-100 um, with a retraction range of 0.125 um. Some features included with these Microtomes are section counter, advanced distance, section thickness, and cutting speed.  The auto-load feature with reset specimen heads automatically to a ready position needed for quick changing of blocks allowing increased throughput from within your lab.  Users can choose setups for resin sectioning and standard wax making the Thermo Shandon Finesse a must-have in any Histology, or Pathology lab.
