The Thermo Scientific Sorvall MTX 150 is a benchtop ultracentrifuge with whisper-quiet operation, full-color touchscreen control, and dependable high-speed performance. This small ultracentrifuge reaches its top speed of 150,000 RPM in just 80 seconds, allowing almost any separation and achieving a max RCF of 1,048,000 x g. This benchtop centrifuge is powerful and compact, taking up about 20% less area than other centrifuges.

The Thermo Scientific Sorvall MTX 150 features optimized rotor designs for shorter run times, with easy loading, visual tube balancing, and a self-locking rotor system that automatically secures the rotor to the drive shaft. The MX150 is a high capacity and can hold tubes from 0.2ml to 30ml (a max of 180ml). Yet, it is ideal for small-volume sample processing applications such as virus cells, lipoproteins, nanoparticles, cellular organelles, and nucleic acids.

The Thermo Scientific Sorvall MTX 150 uses a maintenance-free brushless drive system with rotor imbalance protection. Users can select between 9 acceleration and nine deceleration profiles or choose to stop and choose from various rotors (sold separately), giving your lab flexibility.

Navigation of this Thermo Ultracentrifuge is intuitive, with a graphical interface controlled through an LCD touchscreen, simplifying operation and setup. Up to 20 programs can be stored, each with nine steps and a timer function for up to 99 hours and 59 minutes. This micro-ultracentrifuge also has cooling capabilities, using a solid-state thermoelectric cooling system ranging from 0° to 40°C.
