The Spex SamplePrep Geno Grinder 2010 is an automated tissue homogenizer used for various applications.  The system is compatible with a wide range of sample vials in the range of 2ml, up to 50ml centrifuge tubes, and six deep well microplates.  The Spex Sampleprep was built for cell disruption using beads to beat the sample tissue.  The beads tear up the sample for cell lysis and tissue homogenization, enabling quick and precise extraction of nucleic acids, proteins, and other molecules.  The Homogenizer comes with a timer and speed adjust controls for the user to set up their runs.

The 2010 Spex Geno Grinder is ideally suited for Cell Lysis, Protein Extraction, Tissue Homogenization, DNA/RNA Extraction, Biofuels, and Pesticide Residue Extraction. The instrument works well with the following samples: yeast, plant tissue, Cannabis, Seeds, Cell Cultures, Animal Tissue, and Bacteria. This Tissue Homogenizer’s sleek design allows multiple Geno Grinders to be put side by side on one bench. Since the homogenizer is automated, throughput increases, giving the user efficient, reproducible results. This works well over the old conventional sample prep methods.
