The Thermo Multifuge X1 is a benchtop centrifuge ideal for general purpose centrifuging, from cell culturing to blood separation and microbiology. This Thermo megafuge holds up to 1L and is compatible with a broad array of rotors and adapters for a flexible and robust lab instrument. The space-saving design helps conserve valuable workspace in the lab, while the ergonomic design of the low-profile lid and curved features mean comfortable sample handling. Closing the lid can be done with a single finger.

The digital control panel of the Heraeus Multifuge X1 is user-friendly, and gives users detailed information about their run, showing both the set and actual values for their parameters. From this control panel, users can set the Thermo megafuge speed, up to 15200rpm, their time up to 99hrs and 59mins, or hold. The microprocessor control also holds up to 99 programs, with 5 direct access buttons up the front to hold the more frequently used protocols. To keep rotors secure and protect the centrifuge, the Multifuge X1 features smart spin technology, that identifies the rotor and adjusts to the ideal accelerating, braking, and checks for load imbalance.
