The Thermo iBright CL1000 Gel Imaging System from Invitrogen is a top of the line, fundamental tool for capturing images from gels and blots that can also be used to analyze your images and data. The CL1000 is designed with advanced automated features as well as a streamlined and intuitive user interface that make it an excellent choice for users of all experience levels. The iBright Chemiluminescent is used for documenting chemiluminescent western blots and colorimetrically stained protein and nucleic acid gels. It features a powerful 9.1 megapixel cooled 16-bit CCD camera that captures crystal clear images in with deep analysis potential.

Another advanced feature of this chemiluminescent imager is its smart stage, which, can determine sample position and rotate sample left and right up to 10° on a mechanically rotating stage. This saves users from needing to open the door and manually reposition the samples. This onboard software also automatically determines if a sample requires zoom in and will zoom in accordingly, making automatic adjustments to focus as it goes.

This machine can automatically determine optimal exposure times, reducing your down time looking for the correct signal. It also features advanced automation – allowing hassle-free sample alignment, focus, and zoom. The transilluminator is a green based LED light source with a long life that effectively excites popular DNA dyes (ethidium bromide, SYBR Green…) while protecting users from harmful radiation. Export and storage of data is enabled through iBright Analysis software’s cloud connectivity.
