Thermo Horizontal Laminar Flow Hood
The Thermo Horizontal Laminar Flow Hood provides labs with a work area built to maintain a high-quality environment of Class 100 (M 3.5) HEPA filtered air while working with nonhazardous materials. The one-piece construction and casters on this clean bench make it easy to install where it’s most useful, and its low overall height allows it to fit into areas with lower ceilings.
The laminar airflow of this console workstation is a horizontal pattern, creating a particle-free environment, with a high-velocity flow, pushing past the operator and preventing backwashing. Ambient air is taken in through the 1.0″ fiberglass prefilter, then passes through the 99.99% efficient HEPA filter, then directed over the work area. The positive pressure and singular direction prevents any inflow onto the work surface.
The ample 6ft work area is also designed to align with the HEPA filter edges to prevent “picture framing” and ensure your product’s safety. The work area of this laminar flow hood is built from high-quality stainless steel for easy maintenance and resistance to corrosion. The 1/2 HP motor detects filter load and automatically compensates so flow remains steady. Operating the Thermo Horizontal Laminar Flow Hood is simple, from the overhead command center, with toggle switches for light and power, as well as receptacles for an optional UV lamp and power for accessories.

The unit has been deconned with a Hydrogen Peroxide method and existing HEPA filters have been checked out to be in good condition. We ran a flow meter on the hood to ensure the blower motor is up to spec. If the buyer wants new HEPA filters, they’re available for an additional cost. If your hood validation service provider requires new filters in order to pass their validation, it’s the buyer’s responsibility to do so.
