The Thermo Owl EC300XL power supply provides constant voltage, current, or power for gel electrophoresis applications. This power supply operates in either Manual or Programmed modes and can power one to three sets of electrophoresis cells connected in parallel and run simultaneously. The EC300XL protects the cells from overpower conditions by switching control modes and controlling the limit parameters while operating in constant mode, the power supply automatically limits the other parameters to either the power supply maximum or a lower limit if set by the user.

This electrophoresis power supply can also be used for timed and volt-hour operation across all control modes, even automatically completing in the event of a power failure. The thermo Owl electrophoresis power supply has a max output of 75W, a range of 10-300V in 1-volt steps, and 4-400mA adjustable in 1 mA steps. The timer can be set up to 999 minutes, as shown on the bright three-digit display.
