The Thermo BioMate 3S Spectrophotometer offers you accurate and dependable results in an instrument that takes up minimal space. This spectrophotometer features robust onboard software, tightly controlled stray light and noise akin to much larger instruments, but with simple operation, making it a go-to instrument. The BioMate 3S has dual-beam optics, a spectral bandwidth of 1.8 nm, striking a balance between sensitivity and resolution, and a monochromator design that maximizes energy throughput. This spectrophotometer uses a Xenon lamp that not only allows for UV-Vis measurements, but also has the benefit of being ready to go immediately, and won’t affect the chamber temperatures. The lamp for this spectrophotometer gives it a range of 190-1100 nm ideal for UV and near-IR measurements needed for life science or pharmaceutical samples. The dual-beam optics of this UV spectrophotometer gives you both sample and reference detection for simultaneous measurement with little drift.

The Thermo BioMate 3S Spectrophotometer comes with onboard software, operated from the upfront membrane keypad. From this keypad users of the Biomate 3s can access simple to complex pre-programmed assays such as RNA/DNA concentration and purity estimation, direct and colorimetric protein concentrations as well as routine UV-Visible measurements. Users can operate directly as a standalone instrument or connect to a controlling PC for more robust analysis and method transfer.  Users can also use the USB connection to attach a printer or copy and store methods and data on a memory stick.
