The Thermo Scientific Savant SPD1010 integrated speedvac is an ideal choice and complete solution for drying DNA/RNA precipitates and concentrating both non-aggressive and aqueous samples. This speedvac concentrator is cost-efficient and quick, with a compact size and discreet operation. Drying and concentrating can be done in both plates and tubes with the use of interchangeable rotors, and it can be used for drying oligonucleotides and PCR samples in water/ethanol or isopropanol.

The solvent and solvent combinations the Thermo Scientific Savant SPD1010 supplies are Acetonitrile, Ethanol, Methanol, Methylene Chloride, Water, Acetonitrile and Water, and Methanol and Water. This speedvac comes with dual timers for autonomous control of the heater and run time.

The Thermo Scientific Savant SPD1010 has an all-in-one design that’s easy to install and start using and consists of four distinct components: a concentrator bowl, a refrigerated trap that goes as low as -50°C, a vacuum gauge, and a diaphragm pump. The Model SPD1010 by Thermo Scientific is easily programmable and includes a digital display for examining and setting parameters (time, temperature vacuum). The SPD1010 has a capacity of up to 100mL, and it features a joined design built for easier plug-in and control. This speed vac also includes a vacuum control for vacuum ramping and an extreme level setting to amend drying times and prevent the bumping of various solvent mixtures.
