The Thermo Sorvall Legend X1R Refrigerated Centrifuge provides temperature-controlled centrifugation and a compact design. This versatile benchtop centrifuge has a temperature range of -10 to 40°C and spins at up to 15200 RPM or 25830 x g with a fixed angle rotor. The small footprint of this Thermo centrifuge allows users to spin up to 400 ml in one run while taking up 40% less space than a comparable model. This refrigerated centrifuge also consumes up to 40% fewer watts than conventional tabletop centrifuges, saving your lab up to 15% in energy per year.

The Sorvall Legend X1R uses SMARTspin Technology to auto-detect which rotor the user has installed.  This feature will auto-correct maximum rotor speed and adapts to imbalances, making on-the-fly corrections to your run. Installing rotors is also simple and secure with the Auto-Lock III Rotor System with push-button installation. The microprocessor controls are set at the front and are easy to program with up to 99 slots for user-defined protocols. This system guides users through setup, including acceleration and deceleration options, selecting speed and temperature as well as desired time. The Thermo X1R saves you additional time with 5 programmable quick access buttons for the protocols you use the most.
