Thermo TSX600 ULT Freezer
The Thermo TSX600 ULT Freezer is a high-performance ultra-low temperature freezer with energy-saving features and reliable sample protection. The Thermo TSX freezer series features the V-Drive system that continually adapts to everyday lab usage and outside conditions, kicking in extra cooling power when needed and cycling down to a steadier delivery when access is slower. This translates to a lower operating cost and a 50% savings over conventional models. This reduction in energy usage provides an energy cost of about 8.7 kWh/day. This quiet system runs about 45.5 dba, about the same as a refrigerator.
The TSX600 stores up to 600 2-inch boxes in the 28.8 cu. Ft. volume chamber and has a warmup time of 303 minutes. The Thermo TSX freezer’s chamber is cooled by forced air circulation, environmentally friendly refrigerants, and insulation and can recover in about 24 minutes after opening. On the front of the door is a touch screen fully color command center that provides vital system information, including event logs and current temperature readings. This microprocessor will also store up to 15 years’ worth of temperature and event data that can be exported as needed via USB. This also allows users to transport settings from one freezer to another for consistency across the lab.
