The Sorvall MX150 plus is a Thermo Ultracentrifuge that’s whisper-quiet, versatile, and fast, all housed in a compact footprint. This floor model micro-ultracentrifuge is convenient to place in the lab thanks to the 5.7 sq ft footprint and standard electrical outlet capabilities. This ultracentrifuge features quiet operation with levels below 47 dBA, so it won’t distract you, even when working right next to it, making it an ideal choice for your lab.

Optimized rotor designs on this micro-ultracentrifuge provide users with shorter run times, simplified loading, rotor lock, set up, and operations ensuring improved productivity and workflow. The MX150 is a high capacity and can hold tubes from 0.2ml to 30ml (a max of 180ml) yet is ideal for small volume sample processing applications such as virus cells, lipoproteins, nanoparticles, cellular organelles, and nucleic acids.

The Thermo Scientific Ultracentrifuge can reach its top speed of 150000 Rpm and optimized rotors mean shorter spin times, using a maintenance-free brushless drive system, with rotor imbalance protection. The max RCF is 1048680 x g, with 9 acceleration and 9 deceleration profiles. A wide variety of rotors can be used with this ultracentrifuge with a choice of fixed angle swinging bucket, and vertical rotors, available separately, giving your lab flexibility.

Navigation of the Thermo Scientific Sorvall MX150+ Micro-ultracentrifuge is intuitive with a graphical interface controlled through an LCD touchscreen, simplifying operation and setup. Up to 20 programs can be stored, each with 9 steps. This micro-ultracentrifuge also has cooling capabilities, using a solid-state thermoelectric cooling system with a range of 0° to 40°C.
