UVP Biospectrum 510 Imaging System

The UVP Biospectrum 510 Imaging System is a high-resolution chemiluminescent gel imager with built-in lighting and a light-tight darkroom. This easy-to-use imaging system has a scientific grade, deeply cooled camera, that is mounted in the darkroom, but still easy to access. Below the camera area is the light-tight dark room, for optimal imaging conditions, with an access port for connecting an optional Biolite. The functions of this darkroom are fully automated through the Visionworks ls software. From the front door, there is a UV blocking viewing window that allows users to check on the image without disrupting the environment.

The motorized platform and lens of the Biospectrum quickly adjusts to any position within a 1o inch range, for quick image acquisition and the rapid processing and is completely automated through the software. Built-in epi lighting enables overhead excitation of and the illumination of samples. Samples are set on a UV transilluminator for ultraviolet excitation and can be used with a chemi tray for placing chemiluminescent blots. The filter wheel is 5 position and motorized and comes with Ethidium Bromide Filter, SYBR GOLD CY3 Filter, and an SYBR GREEN filter and can be selected through the software. From the Visionworks ls software users are also able to process images, control the lighting, and analyze gels, plates, and blots quickly and easily.
