UVP ChemiDoc it Imaging System

The UVP ChemiDoc-it 2 Imaging System is a high-resolution imaging system designed to capture and analyze chemiluminescent blot images. This imaging system comprises a light-tight darkroom, overhead lighting, UV transillumination, and swappable emission filters. The self-contained gel imagers set a Peltier-cooled scientific camera above this dark room with the filter wheel directly below. Filters can aid in visualizing fluorophores and provide the flexibility to highlight or suppress other target ranges. Images captured by this western blot system are then processed by the robust Visionworks software, which controls the motorized lens. Visionworks allows users to enhance, analyze, and report when the application requires more than capture.

The UVP ChemiDoc Imaging System darkroom features an overhead white light, a UV-safe gel viewing window, and a convenient roll-out transilluminator tray. This Gel Imager enables a UV safety lock with a manual override that shuts down UV applications when they open the darkroom door. The transilluminator can be partnered with converter plates to expand the use cases, such as adding an optional visiblue converter plate to move from UV to a safe 460-470nm blue wavelength. Lighting for the Chemidoc is operated with simple toggle switches, and shifting the filter wheel is as simple as turning the dial to the corresponding setting.
