The UVP GelDoc-It Gel Imaging System brings you an imaging system with powerful analysis and high-resolution images. This upright gel documentation system includes a laptop computer that allows you to view all parameters and images. The GelDoc-it is designed with a compact, light-tight darkroom, and all components are neatly stacked and integrated to keep things contained. This Imaging system features a 1/3″ monochrome CCD camera and a manual zoom lens. From the front of the imager, users can toggle their white light source for imaging capabilities, as well as access their single emission filter. This system includes a 2UV transilluminator with 302 and 365 nm settings.

Set in the door is of the UVP GelDoc-It  is a unique gel viewer window that blocks UV to allow quick visualization of samples without needing to open the door. Images captured by the digital camera are reproducible, and consistent and are sent to the intuitive VisionWorks software. This robust software allows users to easily select their capture and optics settings, gives access to enhancement tools like process filters and background correction. These imager’s capabilities also include 1D lane analysis, protein quantifications, colony counting, GFP expression, and more. Users can set up macros for frequently used settings to save time. After results are generated, they can be exported to an excel spreadsheet.
