VWR 3500 Orbital Shaker

The system is designed for a wide variety of applications in the laboratory environment. The shaker from VWR features microprocessor control that provides consistent uniform shaking and movement. This, partnered with the sturdy and weighted base, triple eccentric drive, and brushless DC motor, allows continuous and smooth operation and is key for assays like cell cultures, which require accurate and reproducible results.

The VWR orbital shaker has a maximum weight capacity of 35 lbs (15.9kg) and can run continuously or timed. These setpoints can be entered into the independent digital control or through the mechanical knob; each allows users to control both settings simultaneously. The bright LED display lets users monitor progress across lab benches on the digital shaker model.

The VWR 3500 Digital Shaker has a built-in timer that can be set between 1 and 160 hours on the digital model or up to 120 minutes on the analog version. The system continuously monitors shaking speed and maintains a set point, even under changing loads. The displayed speed is accurate to +/- 1rpm below 100rpm and +/-1% of set speeds above 100rpm.

The large 12×11 platform can accommodate a variety of vessels and can be swapped out with other platform options available from VWR. When the Model 3500 Shaker starts, it also has a ramping feature that brings the rotation of the unit up continuously.
