Agilent 708-DS Dissolution System

The Agilent 708-DS Dissolution System provides a streamlined and flexible method of dissolution analysis. This Dissolution Apparatus accommodates tablets, capsules, transdermal and semisolid formulations and meets international pharmacopeia specifications for apparatus 1, 2, 5, 6, and intrinsic dissolution. Thanks to its modular design, users can work with different vessel volumes and interchangeable shafts with certificates of conformity, allowing the apparatus to be customized to meet their needs.

The Agilent 708-DS features color touchscreen control and is easily integrated into automated systems. The dissolution apparatus can be partnered with vessel media temperature monitoring and is compatible with a dosage delivery module(sold separately) and automatic sampling. The motorized manifold of this dissolution system ensures precise sampling location, with a ring indicator for repeatable vessel orientation and shaft locking collars to maintain stable height settings. While in operation, the angled water bath helps maintain temperatures and is easy to drain completely, while split covers minimize evaporation loss and keep cleanup accessible.

The Agilent 708-DS Dissolution System is compact on the bench, with the isolated heating circulator positioned behind the bath. The vibration-dampening feet and sturdy construction also mean there’s minimal work environment disruption. Users can connect up to four systems and control through one PC for seamless scaling. The Software allows for complete automation of a full test, starting with a sample introduction to the analysis, and can also be partnered with a Cary 60 UV Vis Spectrophotometer to analyze in real-time.

Partnered with this Dissolution System is an Agilent 850-DS Sampling System that reduces variability by precise sampling in a repeatable manner. The variable pump speeds allow users to work with shorter timepoint intervals and allow for the handling of different media types. With multiple sample tray options and a built-in rotating piston syringe pump, this compact autosampler keeps the workflow moving.
