BioRad ChemiDoc MP Imaging System
The BioRad ChemiDoc MP imaging system provides fast and easy, high-resolution quantitation of gels and blots with flexible chemiluminescent, fluorescent, and colorimetric imaging. This imaging system uses a high-quality, supersensitive camera, dynamic flat fielding, and a new generation lighttight enclosure to capture superior images in real-time and generate optimized data.
The BioRad Chemi Doc MP is outfitted with a CCD camera that is deeply cooled for faint sample detection and features a motorized zoom lens for remote adjustments in zoom, focus, and iris control, or users can utilize the autofocus for ease of use. This imaging system also features the Universal hood, allowing users to capture fluorescent and chemiluminescent images without using a photographic darkroom. The universal hood of the BioRad Chemi doc MP covers a broad range of light needs, with white light epi-illumination and UV transillumination, and will hold up to 4 emission filters, a calibration disk, and a spot held open for chemo-illumination.
The BioRad ChemiDoc MP imaging system can be controlled from a PC loaded with Image Lab Software, a robust operating system that lets users create protocols, specify options, optimize acquisitions, and analyze results after. This gel documentation system is easy to operate; place samples inside and follow the onscreen guide to run your protocol. You can even modify an existing protocol or create a new one to suit your needs.
This powerful software can even help analyze molecular weights when imaging protein and nucleic acid gels and determine the quantitation and purity of samples. Once you’re satisfied with your data, users can print all or a portion of it into a report or export it to other software for further analysis. The ChemiDoc MP system has superior sensitivity and greater than four orders of magnitude in dynamic range. It is ideal for multiplex fluorescent western blotting, electrophoresis, chemiluminescence detection, and stain-free technology imaging.
