Flow Sciences Ventilated Balance Enclosure

The Flow Sciences Ventilated Balance Enclosure provides users with maximum containment for balance applications with unique airfoils and smooth turbulence-free airflow. The acrylic airfoils create a smooth flow and allow for weighing down to 1g without fluctuations. This compact system is also a more energy-efficient alternative to a standard fume hood.

The 2ft work surface is black for easy detection of powder and is constructed from chemically resistant phenolic resin, with a dished bottom to contain spills. The angled front of the 3/8” acrylic enclosure allows for comfortable viewing while working and should avoid glare. On the face of the unit is an alarm system built to warn users of low airflow, constantly monitoring while the system is used.

Air for this vented balance safety enclosure is filtered through a fan filter housing, then recirculated back into the lab, or they can be connected directly to the in-house exhaust via a thimble connection. The stainless steel construction of this housing resists chemical attack and cleans easily, while also being heavier and helping minimize vibration and noise.
