Koehler Gum Evaporation Bath

The Koehler Gum Evaporation Bath is an electrically heated bath used to determine the gum content in aircraft turbine fuel and aviation gasoline. The gum that forms during storage of fuel can deposit onto intake valves, induction surfaces, and under stems and guides, impacting performance of your machinery. The Koehler evaporation bath evaporates the fuel or gasoline using a high temperature bath for gasoline, or an external steam generator (not included) and built in superheater for aircraft turbine fuel. The aluminum block is fully insulated which ensures safe and efficient high temperature operations.

The gum bath features stainless steel jets which deliver air or steam flow to the test wells, and has built in air/steam pressure regulator with gauge and  flowmeter for adjusting air flow per ASTM regulations. Microprocessor PID controls offer fast temperature stabilization with overtemperature protection that will cut power to the bath should the temperature exceed a user-programmed cut off point. Temperature display and controls are situated on the front left of the device for easy access. All of our lab equipment comes fully tested and backed by our standard warranty.
