Leica RM2035 Microtome

The Leica RM2035 Microtome is user-friendly and designed for fatigue-free manual operation, for users that appreciate the added level of control with sectioning. This flexible microtome is intended for paraffin sectioning but is also suitable for harder surfaces. With a large 70 mm vertical stroke, this lab microtome is capable of accommodating a super mega cassette, while giving a greater clearance to the knife while specimen changing. The Leica RM2035 Microtome has a section thickness range of 1 to 60 µm.

The Leica RM2035 Microtome handwheel force is adjustable to the weight of the sample and compensates for the centrifugal forces that arise while cutting through a pre-tensioned spring, without the heavy counterweigh that would normally be needed. This gives the user an exceptionally smooth operation, with uniform hand wheel rotation. As an additional safety measure, the handwheel can be locked in place. Lastly, this microtome uses a spacious magnetized waste tray to collect debris that can be easily removed for emptying and cleaning.
