The Ohaus Explorer Balance EX423 provides precision weighing down to 0.001g with a robust offering of weighing functions and a variety of read-outs. This Ohaus balance has a generous 6 x 8” platform and draft shield to protect delicate samples from a disruptive breeze. This draft shield has an automatic opting without touching the balance through one of the innovative touchless sensors. To help minimize cross-contamination, users can program 4 touch-free sensors set around the balance for functions such as zero, print, calibration, or tare among other selectable functions. This feature helps improve weighing efficiency, eliminates sample residue transfer, and minimizes the potential for contamination.

The Explorer Analytical Balance features a 50% faster stabilization time, with the optimized linearity and repeatability giving users accurate and repeatable results to help speed up the workflow in the lab, and features a control panel that separates away. This Explorer balance has a capacity of 420g and a readability of 0.001g.  The large color touch screen display uses an icon-driven interface to guide users through 14 applications modes. This screen can also be adjusted to 3 levels of angle for ease of viewing.

This analytical balance also has a variety of weighing options such as parts counting, animal weighing, percent weight and reads out in 12 modes including a custom mode. This lab balance usually settles within 1.5 seconds and has a sensitivity drift of 3 ppm/°C, and features external calibration as well as autocalibration.
