The Sartorius Biostat Wave Bioreactor RM 20/50 provides a reliable, robust, easy-to-program wave mixed reaction system that fits easily on your benchtop. The gentle waves created by the rocker unit constantly renew the media surface, giving you a low sheer and bubble-free aeration. This benchtop wave reactor is an ideal choice for small-scale production or process testing, and the single-use bags mean there is no need for SIP or CIP protocols.

The Biostat RM is fully configurable in rocking rate, angle, and temperature. Users can set their desired parameters from the upfront touch display, which guides them through the settings. This single-use bioreactor operates at a rocking angle of between 4 and 10 degrees and a speed range of 8 to 42 rocks per minute.

The Sartorius BIOSTAT RM 20/50 has a gassing rate of 0-500 ml/min per bag, a fixed CO2 range of 0-15%, and a temperature control range between ambient temperature and 40°C. Data collected by the Bioreactor can be visualized on the color display or exported through the RS232 to communicate with a PC. This single-use Bioreactor is also configured for twin operation of two bags at once on the same rocker, with independent controls for gassing and temperature control.

Partnered with this Biostat Bioreacto is the Cultibag RM control tower, which gives you intuitive touchscreen control of your bioreactor. Users can collect measurements from this unit and monitor and control pumps, temperature, and gassing systems for stellar process control. This includes rocking speed and angle, trend reports, and pH, DO, and temperature feedback. It can also be used with single-use pH and DO sensors.
