The Thermo Sorvall Biofuge Primo provides a high-speed, microliter capacity desktop centrifuge, while also covering your everyday needs. This Sorvall centrifuge offers features like flexible rotor options, sold separately, imbalance recognition, and ease of use. The electronic imbalance detection alerts users not only if the initial load is imbalanced but also during a run should a tube break while in operation. The system will be interrupted so the rotor can be removed and corrected.

The Sorvall Biofuge Primo uses clear symbol navigation on the control panel for quick, easy setups, while the digital control panel shows all run parameters. From this control panel, users can set their speed and time and choose from two acceleration and 9 deceleration profiles. Run times on this cell culture centrifuge can be set up to 9 hours and 59 minutes or set to hold for continuous operation. Users can also use the quick run key as a convenient way to get quick spin-downs. Speed on this tabletop centrifuge can be set up to 15000 rpm and has a capacity of 400mL.  Thermo Sorvall Biofuge Primo Centrifuge has safety features such as a dual lid locking mechanism, with soft-touch closure, automatic rotor recognition of safe speed settings, and a quiet operating, maintenance-free brushless drive motor.
