Techne Quantica Real-Time PCR

The Techne Quantica Real-Time PCR brings you a system with open architecture, and chemistry for a truly flexible option in exploring methods and research. This qPCR has a solid-state white light source that gives you an excitation range between 470nm to 650nm. The Quantica also employs a PMT detector that has a range of 500 nm to 710 nm, partnered with a multiplexing system that detects up to 4 dyes per reaction tube. The wide dynamic range of this real-time PCR yields up to 9 orders of magnitude from the starting copy, down to 1nM fluorescein.

The Techne Quantica Real-Time PCR has an adjustable temperature-heated lid, between 100ºC and 115ºC, that minimizes the loss of samples and keeps condensation at bay. The tightly controlled temperature lets users include preincubation stages or change the heating characteristics during a run. The Quantica has a heating ramp of 2.2ºC/sec, a block uniformity of < ± 0.25ºC and a temperature range of 4ºC to 98ºC.

The Techne Quantica Real-Time PCR also incorporates powerful Quansoft software that allows for robust data collection and reporting. This intuitive software displays your raw data, guides you through the choice of disposables and chemistries. The Quansoft software lets users create modify and save files while the unit is in operation, and allows for the change of the first-order derivative to fit the points in results analysis.
