The Thermo Forma 8523 ULT -80°C Freezer provides uniform, reliable performance, with digital control and safety features for a ultra low temperature storage you can rely on. This ULT Freezer uses front to back air circulation and an enlarged condenser with two cooling fans for excellent efficiency, even when ambient temperatures are high. The compressor system also features a PEAK control that opens a solenoid value should the compressor discharge pressure exceed the design limit to help extend compressor life. This ultra-low temperature freezer features Non-CFC, HCFC and non-flammable refrigerants for an environmentally friendly operation, with NON-CFC foamed in place insulation.

The Thermo Forma -80 Ultra Low Temperature Freezer has a storage capacity of 28 cu feet, and a temperature range of -50° C to -86°C. The cabinet is constructed out of cold rolled stainless steel, with a powder coat finish that’s resistant to rust and chipping. A dual door system gives users of this -80 lab freezer access to frequently used samples above, which items less needed can remain in the lower area undisturbed. Inside solid stainless-steel shelves are durable enough to handle a full load, while 4 interior compartment doors reduce temperature loss of compartments not being accessed.

The Thermo Forma 8523 features the Enviro-Scan Microprocessor Monitoring System, a digital display with user temperature set points, audible and visual alarms for user defined high and low temperatures levels, and all are controlled with a upfront membrane key pad. In addition, this ultra-low temperature freezer can interface with a PC for monitoring, and has remote alarm contacts. To help maintain the life and overall health of the lab freezer, the Forma 8523 has a built-in automatic voltage compensation, to respond to high or low voltage situations, and condition the incoming voltage to correct it.
