The Thermo Heraeus Megafuge 40 Centrifuge, also known as a Sorvall ST 40 brings you high capacity, precise control, and high speeds for your blood samples. This benchtop centrifuge runs quietly and smoothly thanks to its brushless induction direct drive motor that won’t kick carbon dust into your environment and make it very low maintenance. This blood centrifuge is more conservative in its energy consumption than most, saving you up to 40% when running standard protocols, and can run up to 40% more conical tubes and 100% more blood tubes at one time. This high-capacity centrifuge will hold up to 4 liters letting you quickly process more, faster, and boosting your workflow.
The Thermo Heraeus Megafuge 40 Centrifuge is a microprocessor-controlled with the capacity to store 6 user-defined protocols and comes preloaded with 9 acceleration and 10 deceleration profiles. Parameters and protocols can be set from the easy-to-use backlit LCD screen and membrane controls. The timer range for this benchtop centrifuge runs up to 9 hours, 99minutes, counts down, or used with a HOLD function. The speed range of the Megafuge 40 is up to 15200 RPM and has a max RCF of 25314 x g.
